From Order of Cosmic Engineers
Article on the Helsingin Sanomat, 22-8-06, on our virtual TransVision 2006 conference in Second Life. Too bad I don't understand a word! I understand the article covers our work in Second Life and describes transhumanism in postitive terms:
"Transhumanism is a new movement of intellectuals, which believes in improving humans through e.g. genetic technology, virtual reality and robotics. Transhumanists aim to free humans from their natural biological limitations. Artificial reality metaverses are one way to free oneself from the limitations of the physical world. On the other hand, a technology as old as eyeglasses can be considered transhumanistic". (Thanks Aleksei)
